Last Sunday was a big day to the Baptist congregation. The morning srvice was in keeping with the New Year's spirit. Several of the officers of the church were on the platform and took a leading part in the open ing exercises. The pastor gave the hand of fellowship ot a large number of new members who havo recently come into tho church. A spirit of optimism pervades the mambership. All departments of tho church are taking on -new, life. The congrega tions have been increasing in size. The .Young People's Society under the efficient leadership of Miss Elizabeth Bunnell is now doing an excellent work. The lecture room is full of young people each Sunday evening.
