Foods Disappear.
From now on until November some
time oranges will be distinctly out of
the season. There are none to sell
and devotees of oranges must harness
their palates' ' : desires for several
weeks. '' . '
Cantaloupes have now disappeared
entirely and tomatoes have generally
gone the same route. There are no
more in Eagle valley and local pro
ductions are of course minor in quality
always, and is. now exhausted entire
ly.
One item of market quotations to
day is a depression in the price of
sweet potatoes, that commodity going
at 6 pounds for 25 cents.

Will Open Undertaking Parlor.
Hal Bohnenkamp returned last ev
ening from a three months' attendance
in the Barnes school of embalming in
Chicago and yesterday took the state
examination for undertakers in Port
land. He will open an undertaking
parlor here shortly.
