Wallowa pushed herself into second nlace in the Branchline league yester day when she dumped Elgin into the cellar, and Enterprise tumbled the La Grande Moose into the baseemnt as company for the Indians. La Grande lost 9-4 at Enterprise, and Elgin lost 8-1 at Wallowa. Smith allowed 10 hits and Culver four. . At Enterprise Ray Oliver had an off dav and the Enterprise crowd lam med in nine runs in two innings or so. "Naughty" Naughton, ex-bpud infielder. immediately earned for him self new renown when he went to the hill and for the first time in his car eer, pitched seven innings. "Naugh ty" has nothing on eajth in the pitch ing line except a windup and this was so astounishingly big-league like that he completely jinxed the Enterprisans and narry a runner crossed the pan af crht.v" cot his winduD jroing.
