(Special) The moving pictures of the stock show will be shown for the first time at the Cozy theater, Union, June 24 and 25. J. R. Willis has just received Infor mation from the Oregon Motion Pic ture Mfg. Co., of Portland, that the pictures are in every way a success, This will be a three-reel feature and in addition to the events of the stock show will include a full reel of round ing up horses and cattle on the promi nent ranches in the Grande Ronde valley. After showing the pictures here, Mr. Willis will take the .picture theatres and then throughout the great Northwest. He will lecture on the pictures' and" will -''also carry a num ber of slides showing the character of the valley that will be used between the reels. " "... . , ' The Relief Corps gave a social after their regular meeting today and serv ed strawberries and cream and cake to a large and appreciative crowd. The members of . the crops gave a short lit erary program of music and recita tions. The recitations by Mrs. Van- deventer and Miss Nellie Paddock were very fine and loudly applauded. The music was . excellent . Everyone went away well pleased by their entertain ment. '- Gen. Goodbrod gave, a hearty invitation for everyone to' attend a pic nic at Goodbrod lake on June 27th.
