Miller returned yet (eruay from a trip Into Southern Ore gon, where he had been for the paat week looking for a new location. He hiut decided to move to Grants Pans, down near the California line, .and will probably leave Wallowa about the first of I.May. Mr. Miller is well known here, having spent the past 18 years of his lite In and around Wal lowa. He has practiced law here for about two yeara, and baa built up a nice practice, and his many friends regret to see him leave. Pave Slade Killed. (Wallowa Sun.) Chas. Hunter received word yester day of the death of Dave Slade at Calgary. Alberta. Word came in the form of a telegram under date ot March 27th, stating that Mr. Slade was killed In the yards of the Canad ian Pacific Railway company, at Cal gary while on his way south. Mr. Slade left Wallowa last fall going to Alberta to take charge of the Canad ian ranch of Mr. Hunter. Since then, Mr. Hunter has sold the ranch. Mt. Slade was about 45 years of age and leaves a widow. Xasonle Hall Improved. (Union Republican.)
