ceived. Each number was encored
and each time the vocalist or Instru

pretty dainty useful gifts for the bride

Easter dinner was served with a great

Commencing early In the evening with
the appetizing cocktail, tne guests
wended their spasmodic journey to
several corners of the olfey. stopping

and' general elaborateness, the party
is one of the most fashionable of the

terestliig. Food, lights, decorations,,
everything in fact, was tuned to per
fect harmony with the prevailing col
or scheme which was different at eatu
home. It commenced with the cock
tail course at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. A. A. Wenzel, Jliflf Washington,
and at the very ouUec the color
scheme was unique! Lavender was
the color theme then:. lavender hya
cinths In profusloa decorated' the'
home; the centerpiece consisted of a
basket of flowers, lavender In color,
and lavender streamers of ribbon
swung from the chandelier- to- earh
plate. The favors weie lavender nut
dishes.
The second course, soup,- was serv
ed at the home of Mayor- and Mrs. M.
K. Hall, 1808 Second street Red pre-,
vailed there, and1 uie centerpiece was
a large boquet of red carna'.Ic is and
favors consisted of little oandelabraa
with five red c -wiles.. The food'
courses and the service;, were kept
within the color scheme beautifully.
The third' course, that of dinner,
wsa served' In the August J. Stangtj
residence and the hostuss had the
beautiful home beautifully arranged
for the occasion using yellow as Hie
color scheme. The centepriece was
most unique. It consisted of a "fetio-ed-ln"
checking farm, duck pond,
coops aird all that typifies a pov'try
farm. The miniature "ranch' wa
crowded with little chicks and gos
lings. Tellow daffodils were used In
profusion to decorate the home and
favors consisted of yellow chicks.
The fourth course, that of salad,
was served by Mr. and Mr. G. L. Lar
rlson, 2001 Second. Green prevailed
there. The center piece, a large green
rose, was ornamented with ribbons
leading to each plate and at the end
of each was a Blip of paper containing
a toast for eaoh guest. The favors
were large green paper sunflowers.
The fifth course. Ice cream and cof
fees, was served by Mr. and iMr.s T.
J. Scroggln. at 1810 Fourth. Pink
was the ruling color. The center
piece there was a large bowl of sweet
pens with smtlax festoons from the
chandeliers to the tabcls, connected
with paster bunnies and chicks. Fa
vors were little fhina boys on roller
skates "dolled" up In pink ribbons for
the ladles, and Chinese girls were the
men's favors. At all the various
homes, the lights, properly subdued,
emanated the harmonizing color and
great tact and Ingenuity was evinced
by all the hostesses In the clever dec
orative schemes. It was one of the
winter and spring season's most
fashionable affairs.
Miss May White, one of the brides
of the week, was the Inspiration of a
seven-course dinner party given In
the Foley grill Sunday evening by
the Mllem Girls' club, of which she Is
one of the moat popular members.
Miss White Is the first one of the
Mllem girls to respond to Cupid's call
and lave the realm o? "bachelor
maidens." The balcony of the grill

Easter the Kaffee Klatch was enter
tained at evening sessions last eve
ning when Dr. and ' Mrs: Av L. Rich
