Matlock Is Present. -
Pendleton. Feb. 7. (Special) Pen
dleton wants baseball. This much was
decided definitely and unanimously at-
a meeting of the fans held In the Com
mercial club rooms last evening, and
steps were taken toward launching a

Wesley N. Matlock was chosen the

large. Vice President Rltner and Sec
retary Dickson were appointed dele
gates to the league meeting on Sat
urday and the former will bear the
proxy of L. O. Frailer, who Is at the
present time Pendleton's representa
tive on the league directorate. Mr.
4U1ner was also recommended as Pen
dleton's director for 1913.

most of his brothers. There were 18
children In the family and most of
them are living. Since leaving there

mother have died and the nieces and
nephews have multiplied to such an

ciation offered a prize to the parents

him a big farewell party at which

quet table. All present bore the
name of Rlesland save six who were
the children of his sisters.

get back to the valley of which he has
been a resident for the last 23 years
