J A scene trom "The Rosary" at the Sieward next Tuesday,
Every woman thinks she konws how
to keep alive the love of her husband.
Wonder If the girls In this city know
that art? Sometimes it Is said they
don't. At any rate, they will know
after thej witness a performance of
"The Roeary," which is coming to the
Steward next Friday.
In "The IRosary", there, are three
distinct love stories. The principal
love affair is that of Bruce and Vera
Wilton. This husband and wife love
each other with their whole hearts.
She is a devout woman, but be Is a
born atheist Being a man of many
business interests Mr. Wilton neglects
his home, and Vera resorts to the
green-eyed monster to bring her hus
band back to her. She begins a flirt
ation with a man named Ken ward
Wright. Clscumstances bring Wright
into the Wilton home, where he falls
in love with Vera's sister, Alice. One
night, whea be and Alice had arrang
ed for a secret elopement. Vera enter
ing the room as the .couple are leav
ing through an open window, & dis
covered by her husband. The result
is two broken hearts; therefore Jeal
ousy is an evil, and not an advisable
way of keeping a man interested.
The second love story Is between
Kathleen O'Connor and Charley Har
row. Kathleen is a little Irish girl,
who believes that the man she will
marry muBt know the Irish history
thoroughly. Charley knows nothing

of Irish history, so Kathleen attempts
to teach him. To keep Charley Inter
ested, Kathleen uses the simplest of
language, dress and actions. Charley
is attracted to her by her elmplicity
so it Is shown Jhat the simplest truth
attracts the man of the world and
keeps him Interested.
In the love story between Lesura
and Skeeters, the audience finds that
opposition to a man's vanity makes
him only the more Interested in the
pursuit of the one thing upon which
he prides himself greater than all else
During the scenes Skeeters is very
proud of his ability to tell stories,
but it isn't until after an original sys
tem Is employed that Skeeters suc
ceeds In getting Lesura to laugh. AH J
or this love is In "The Rosary", and
with a competent cast presenting It, I
the play is worth attending.
