Amons the churches of La Grande that have this winter been added to the list of live, active religious organ izations, is the Methodist . Church South. Rev. Harry P. Nelson had but a small "flock" when he came to the clty a tew months ago to assume the pastorate of the church en the North side, but he has with the co-operation of the membership built up every de partment of the church home until its Sunday school, EpwOrth league, the prayer meeting and church proper are becoming near perfection. New song books have been added . to the equipment, and the church is a potent power for good like every other church in the city is and should be. Rev. Nelson has gained a meritorious popularity with his congregations and his friendships are rapidly spreading out to the non-churchman who from time to time comes In contact with the Methodist church South pastor.
