All of the wild hay and most of the
becond crops of alfalfa are harvested.
The crops were all splendid in this vi
cinity. ' .
Messrs. William Banton and Cona
way have started up their threshing
machine and are at present Installed
on W. Johnson's farm.
Quite a good many have returned
from the mountains, bringing with
tbsra an abundance of huckleberries
and also feeling that they had enjoy
ed a much needed rest.
Miss Carrie Cannon, of Oklahoma,
visited a few days last week with. Miss
Verda Graham.
A surprise party was arranged and
given last Thursday evening by Miss
Luclle Jarrls. tit her home, in honor
of Miss Golda Balnbridgp, who, with
her parents, will move from here the
first of the month. The evening was
delightfully spent with music on the
piano and gamps. Ice cream and cake
wag enjoyed at a late hour by the
following guests: Misses Golda Bain
bridge, Helen Linebarger, Verda Gra
ham, Lulu Counsell, Kittle Mulholland
Dora Geiger, Ruth Peebler, Christina

The picnic and dance which was held
at LInebarger's park last Friday was
