Helms of Mate Historical Society but One of Many. Next Thursday the annual gathering of the pioneers of Union county will be held at Hot Lake. This Is the cen tennial anniversary of the discovery ot the now famous health resort. In commemoration of that discovery and In honor of the early settlers who. have prepared the wilderness so that :he present magu'.ficent sanatorium might be a realltr, Senator Walter M. Pierce, manager of the Hot Lake sanatorium opens his halls and grounds to the pioneers on Thursday. An excellent program has been pre pared and a very enjoyable good old fashioned time Is expected by all. It could not be arranged to run a special train but the present regular schedule of the O.-W. R. & N. trains will be very convenient. Those who desire to bring their own lunches will be permitted to eat them anywhere ou the premises, and the Hot Lake cafe- ttla and grill will be prepared to han die all those who do not wish to pre pare their own lunches. .Among the speakers that will be -on the program, which will be both In the afternoon and evening will he Judge Stephen A.
