The rain and wind of last evening prevented the 12 autos starting on the chautauqua advertising trip to Cove and Union and it was unfortunate be cause the Union people bad planned a big reception for them. Chautauqua plana are being pushed to the limit and everything points to the success and pleasure of the best chautauqua ever held, a very pleasing little incident happened to the Chicago Operatic company , that opens the chautauqua June 29 in one of their re cent engagements. Edgar Nelson, the pianist, went over to the opera house where the program was to be given, to look at the piano. He found one that was a question mark as to the date of its manufacture, and In striking the keys was sure the tuning had been neglected for years. The Jani tor happened to be in and so turning to him. Nelson said in rather a sar castic way, "This is quite a piano you have here." The old fellow answered: "Well, by Jocks, it ought to be.
