Anderson, who was intoxicated and came to his home where he made an effort to attack members of the family with a knife, R. T. Alexander, a well known resident of Halfway went after the belligerent relative with a shot gun and as the latter left the house, took a shot at him ,two of tbe Binall shots passing through Anderson's left cheek. The affair took place Saturday after noon and Mr, Alexander was complete oxonoratod at the preliminary hoar lng and Andurson was bound over to the grand Jury. Erroneous reports that Anderson had been fatally injur ed by a. pistol shot reached here, but as self defense the motive of Alexan der was evident, ho was held blame less In the matter.
