matter of history, but it Is pleasant
history for it was a great success. It
is the first time for years that Cove
people have undertaken an entertain
ment of the public but it will sot be
the last. La Grande was so thoroughly
pleased with the Cherry stow that a
demand will go up from this city for a
repetition of it next year. And La
Grande was no exo-ption for every
.community that wag represented felt
the same way.
Union will have her horse show, El
gin her apple show and Cove her cher
ry show each year and In each event
the people of the valley will gather to
see the exhibits and get better ac
quainted. These meetings are worth
they Inspire a more friendly relation
