Comly was placed on the retired list of the navy today on account of age. Admiral Comly is a native of New Jersey and entered the naval academy at An napolis from that state in 1865. Early In bis career he accompanied the fam ous Juniata expedition to theArctlu. During the war with Spain he. was an officer on the battleship Indiana, and participated In the naval engagement at Santiago. - HIS last duty was as commandant of the navy yard at Phil adelphia. .' "Woman," "Christian," "Temp-ranee" and "lTn!on." it was well received. Last night the Williams Jub ilee singers had a fine, large, enthusi astic crowd to which they played in an unsurpassed manner.
