Not tice i ' 1 pursuance of a resolution adopted by the.' com mon council of the city of La Grande, Oregon, on the 17th day of August 1910, creating Improvement district No. 25, and designating Chestnut street, as such district, and in pursu ance of a resolution adopted by said common council oa the 7th day of June, 1911, whereby said council d: termined and declared Its intention to improve all that portion of Chestnut street. In said Improvement district as hereinafter described, by constructing cement, walks 12 feet wide on both sides , of the street, the council will, ten day after the servipe of this notice upon the owners of the property af fected and benefitted by such improve ment, order that said above descrlbad improvement be made; that the boun daries of said district to be so Im proved are as follows: , All that portion of Chestnut street, from the north line of alley between Adams and Jefferson avenue, to the south line of Jefferson avenu. (A) And the property affected or benefitted by said improvement is as follows: Lot 13; block 115, Chaplin's . addition and Lot 1, block 114,. Chap- t g iin-s aaaniou, La Crtr-?-, ; Notiec Is hereby further given that the council win levy a special enoca ment on all the property affected or : benefitted by such improvement for the purpose of paying; for. such lm: provement. That the estimated cost of uch improvement Is the sum of $412.33. Though it Is the first time In dianapolis has been honored with a grand circuit meeting the veteran reinsmfn and others who are here to take part say that the interest never was keener, even in the palmy days when the Inauguration of the season with the blue ribbon meeting at De troit njver failed to attract thousands to the city of hte straits. The program here ,1s a splendid one, made up of 16 events, four tor each day of the meeting. The feature event of the opening day is the 2.20 $2,500 stake trot, which Is expected to be one of the best races , of the week "2jnr. ntri re some of , the ' most promising looking state trotters that will go down the big line thlg sea son, and the majority of which will , start in the M, and M. at Detroit three i weeks hence. ; . , ., ' WILLIAMS PEOPLE COME FIXE RECORD.
