(Special) More than 1,000,000 acres' of cut-over timber lands in eastern Washington and Oregon, north and central Idaho and western Montana will be cleared and settled by small farmers and home builders during the next few years, with the carrying of the plan practically agreed upon by prominent lumber manufacturer and commercial clubs of the Inland Empire. Every, precaution will be taken. to keep the lands from falling into the hands of speculators, the purpose be ing to sell at the lowest price to ac tual settlers, who will develop their holdings and thug add to the wealth production of the nation, E. Joined with these forces aye the transcontinental railroads and timber concerns throughout the northwest.
