' Plumbing and Heating Passenger and mall trains were stalled near Huron early this morning and rUlet was ' not , accorded the blockade until well along in the fore noon. A wheel on a car of No. 9, the fast westbound mall train due here last night, crumbled near Huron and though the train was run along a dis tance of about 15 telephone poles be fore coming to a halt, no damage was done to speak of. The trouble with the wheel was one of those unusual Instances where the rim and flange be come separated from the wheel proper by excess heat caused probably by the brakeshoe. The board of inquiry has not made its report yet but that is presumed to be the cause., The wrecker was sent out from here and was at work early this morntng for No. 9 last night did not arrive un til alter niiduigui auti ii. Within the brief space of five years, San Francisco has fully demonstrated that the Phenlx, the, fabled bird that was burned and arose from its ashes, had nothing on this . city. ' The business men of the city subscribed $7,500,000 before it had been decided where the Panama exposition was to be held, and now that the fair Is an assured fact there will be no lack of, funds to carry the project to a glorious completion. San Francisco is anxious to show the world how she has come up out of the ashes of her destructive fire, and the comr merclal interests are willing to pay1 big for the privilege. ', i '' ;..
