A runaway Accident . which to al Indications at the time of Its Incep tion meant serious If not critical in Jury to the occupants of, a vehicle coming in from Island City this morn ing, ended in slight Injuries when Mr. Tucker, Mrs. Tucker and Miss Mur dock, an Island City school teacher were headed for the opening day of the teacher's convention and while driving across the Fir street railroad crossing, .came to grief when tho'r team became frightened. In the sud den lurch of the buggy, the Professor was thrown from the buggy with much force, but, plucklly, Mrs. Tucker and Miss Murdock applied themselves tr the task - of stopping the runaway. With a show of horsemanship they brought the frightened runaways to a standstill in short order. Mr. Tucker, dazed by the fall to the pavement, wa carried to the White grocery store and later taken to the Bacon-Hall of fices for treatment.
