The saw cuts rocks and all and the sectional view shows the covering runs from 2 1-2 to 3 1-2 In ches. The lower, middle and top sur faces are shown clearly. Tax payers who are uncertain just what they are paying for In bitulithlc .pavement should examine a sectional piece of the pavement which the company has In its office. ; , The exhibits which go to the head chemist every day are taken at ran dom from the work done that day and the exact spot from, which it is taken .and the exact load from which it was taken, is Indicated on the card which accompanies the exhibit. In this way the local contractors have no pos sible opportunity to "fudge" on 'the chemical proportions of the mixture , or the physical requirements of the contract.
