Snodgrass, one of the best known families of Union county. He is employed in the 0. R. & N, com missary department and is among the best young mqn , r the communi ty. '.The happy couple leaves this ev ening for Boise where they will spend a few days after which they will be at home to their many friends in a cottage near the mill. La Grande's Band Is AssureaV, At ' a meeting last evening ' in the city hall the La Grande Concert Band made final arragements to continue the organization thls( summer and en gaged ttie services of Profc Selak as leader and director. ' Heavy practice will begin at once and for all gala occasions the band will be able to turn out at least twenty pieces and render a high grade of music. This is gratifying to most 'of the people here for there was ear that the band might not be continued this summer. Without a band, a, city the slzeof La Grande is unprepared to take charge of such events as the Chau tauqua and other 'celebrations-, that have been planned, to say nothing of the summer concerts which so iriany of the ' rank and file ! of the people so thoroughly enjoy.
