from its cage In a very. mysterious

lowed but no 'possum could be found.

close by it is not possible for the
"possum to be up a 'slmmon tree,"
as the old song states. The whola
situation was canvassed thoroughly
and a decision reached that some one
had committed larceny; that the de
sire for a 'possum dinner has been
