LASO OF UI : t ,The use of the fairy story In Incul cating good thought in the mind o' a child Is one of the appreciations of modern ' education. Time was whn children Were kept away from fai'v tales as from a burning buBh. for fear of its witchery, N'o'.v, educators recognize that simplicity of thoiipht accompanies fairy tales and fal)le3 as truly as doea tho rcdtal Tl; loawns of the Powers, t)n. heroes' (.f ruusfe, thn ninjcRty of the forests nnd the harmonies of the modern extrava ganza, such as hi the grent pro luc tion of '''The Land of Nod," all have their Influence upon the child mind for refrenhment and' repose s-a w:U as useful knowledge. The demands for special matinees for children this season hare been far in excess of the possibilities of ' the company. ccLcol.. have t en dismissed and lUM.lr.rs have ictis to the theatra with thplr pi:;)H The entire original cast "id prodwt'.cn Of "The Land of rfod" v.Ul be oen at Ihe .steward op era hcu3? "Are Tos Absent Misdeal ; The story of the forgotten watch at the Star tonight brings out In detail what trouble an absent mind will cause. There are other good pictures along with the comedy and all tend to make up' a god hour of lntertaln- ment and at a price that is most reus onable.
