M HURT IN STEEL CAR Frank Earls a member o fthe bas ket ball team met with a slight acci dent last night on returning from North Powder which necessitated a physician taking several stitches in the scalp. Mr. Earls had been asleep on the train returning from North Powder and as the train neared La Grande he was awakened by his com panions and started up suddenly and struck his head on a sharp corner of the steel car.
