Osteopathic Advocate. i IRISH STORY AT STEWARD "Sweet Innisfallen" to be seen at the Steward tonight, Is a- new Irish play of romance with the scenes in the islands of the Lakes of Killarney. .Nothing could be more romantic In situation and theme. The story Is a series of complications caused by the vlllianly of Squire Carlton. The first act shows the exterior of the mansion of Falrlawn owned by the Moors', Grace Moore and her brother, Des mond Moore. It appears that a Lord Ashton, of unsavory reputation, was killed by the discharge of his own gun while In the hands of Grace Moore. Lord Ashton had Insulted her while at an aclcdental meeting when out hunting. His rudeness caused Miss Moore to call for help, which brought her brother, Desmond, to her rescue. During the . personal encounter that followed between Lord Ashley and Desmond Moore, Lord Ashley having dropped his gun, Miss Moore picks It up. At that moment It Is discharged, causing the death of his Lordship. Miss Moore supposes that she Is guil ty of murder, though not intentional. Her brother assumes the responsibil Ity and goes Into hiding. There was an unseen ' witness to this tragedy, one Myles Regen, an ex-Jockey and a drunkard. He is dependant upon the bounty of Squire Carlton, -who Is a dissolute, unprincipled scoundrel, and whose fortunes are at a low ebb. Re gan Informs Carlton that it was Miss Moore that fired the shot. Carlton uses this knowledge to. terrify Miss Moore and demands as the price of his silence that she marry him and that he becomes the master of Fairlawn. Miss Moore Is In dlspalr, but spurns Carlton, who proceeds to hunt down her brother. He succeeds In having him captured, tried and convicted, but Squire Colton meets with many mis haps during the course of his perse cution of Miss Moore. Carlton has a past and is never free from the per sonal interest- shown him by Larry O'Connell, Bernard paly. Mackay. The readings of Miss Fisher in her varied selections gave her a scope to. display her elocu tionary powers and being an artist of unusual brilliant ability she was greeted with many encores. The duet of Mrs. A. S. Geddes and Mr; C..P. Ferrln was appreciated by all, like wise the quartett by Mesdames Sil verthorn and Upton and Messrs Chas. Cochran and Wm, Landrum. It was an entertainment that, considering the object was entitled to a large patron age. However, considering that there has been so much offered the public In the way of entertainment during the holidays there was little to com plain of.
