A Motor Race a Special Feature of the Scenery Department. "A Girl at the Helm" starring Billy Clifford was amusement to a packed house laBt evening at the Steward." From many points o view the cum); opera differs vastly from others in its class. The real music of the show came from the male choruses, aim of course Billy Clifford supplied a great er portion of the comedy. He is hard worker, his choruses , try hard to please, and when all has been said that might be said in criticise of Ihe company, it will have to be admitted that "A Girl at the Helm,, is runii'ng over with mirth, clean above the av erage, and is an attraction that ought to meet with success in it stour..The motor race scene was one of the feat ures of the scenery department. Noted Irish Singer and Comedian Is Coming with His Songs and Irish Whiching. ' Many complimentary things have been written and printed about Ber nard Daly the sweet Irish singer and actor in romantic parts, and here he Is with us, or soon will be. Mr. Daly has discarded his two successes of the past seasons, "Kerry Gow", Joe Mur phey's Interesting play, with its realls tic blacksmith shop and horse shoe ing scene, (Mr. Daly was a great hit as Dan O'Hara) and as "Rpy of the Hills" but he has forsaken them for a new love, "Sweet Innisfallen," which, it is said gives Mr. Daly a broader field for his talents. It has more romantic situations and a fresh PRAISE &, ZWEI FEL ladies ftoik a Hpc.'lallty. Goods bunch of songs, which he renders with much tenderness and effect. Among Mr. Daly's collection of mel odies will be the song of all Irish songs "The Wearing of the Green." His song "Hide and Seek" with little "Molly" which must be acted as well as sung: "Sweet Eyes of Irish Blue" and the "Call of the Wind," as well as other Irish airs equally as catchy, are In his collection and will be dell ered in his new play. Mr. Caldwell, his new manager, has provided him with all of the latest and best in this line. "Sweet Innisfallen" with Mr. Daly as "Larry" will appear at the Stew ard on Thursday of this week and under the auspices of the local" lodge of Elks and for their benefit. This should guarantee a packed house. THROW OUT THE LINE. Give the Kidney's Help and Many Peo pie of La Grande Will be Happier. "Throw out the life line" . .
