Franks, who escaped from custody at North Powder while being brought from La Grande to Ba ker, .had .a development today when ProsecutlLg Attorney Levens filed a motion asking the court to withhold all matters pertaining-to Franks in status quo. This means, according to a county official, that all Franks court matters shall he put on ice un til the wily man 13 located and brought back to Baker county, or un til the fact is established that he is dead, proof of which would be con clusive If his skeleton were produced In court. In the Instrument filed to day the affidavits of physicians offi cers and order of the court are em bodied, with a request from Levens as above mentioned.
