Streeter and lit tle child, of Joseph, were in La Grande this morning on their way home after a two months tour of the Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Hanna lefi to day for Bourne, where they will ,'oi.i the party of William Landrum, who are spending some time enjoying on outing. The Misses Nora and Winifred Rought who have been visiting their sister Mrs. O. D. Neil, return this evening to their home in Greely, Col orado. Mrs. G. S. Barbeau left this morn ing for Portland to visit her rela tives. She was accompanied by her sisters, who have been guests from Minneapolis, and are now on their way to Seattle. MrB. Doctor S. L. Corpe of Cove, who has been visiting at" Summer vllle, arrived here yesterday after noon and last night was a guest with Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Selder. She left for her home this morning. Your friends are sure to be at the Lawn social at the C. P. Newlin home tomorrow evening. Be sure to meet them there and at the same time enjoy the music, and home-made ice cream, cherbets and cakes. Mro. M. J. Lee or Elgin, wno took the examination for a life diploma at the recent Teachers' examination, is a guest of Mr. and Mrs. S. K. Eakr, -and will return home in the moru- ing. Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Brown and iza Buster, who have been guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Cherry for several days, left this morning for Portland, and Seattle. He had his hand caught in the auger of the separator and before he could ex tract It, it was smashed almost to s pulp.
