WEST, The Well Driller I Need A special train made vp entirely of Eastern Elks who have attended the big convention at Los Angeles, and who have been at the Seattle fair, passd through La Grande last evening as the second section of No. 8. They were here but a few minutes, but during that brief space of time, created more downright fun at the depot thn any gathering of . twice that size would usually . establish in a -day. Railroad employes who had charge of the train, are still talking about the Jollification going between Pendleton and Huntington. mm The game here tomorrow between che Clerks and the Second Team, promises to be a fast one as both teams have been putting in some hard work practicing. Every evening be tween 7 and 8 o'clock if one should wander out to Lincoln park they would have seen some of .the boys stirring up the dust with consistent practice. The changes made In the line-up of both teams will also aid greatly. The hoys have been advertising their game considerably and a large crowd is expected to attend. The Clerks have not been feeling Just right since their awful walloping th first time and if they can't get revenge on the Band Boys they are willing to take it out of anyone and they are going to try their best to get this revenge tomor row. The line-up of the teams are as fol lows: Clerks Ralston, c; Jay, p; Mackey, lb; Stone, tb; Bay, 3b; Francis, ss; Shelley, If; Van Beilen, cf ; Watson, rf. Second Team Ellsworth, c; ' Mont gomery, p; Metcalf, lb; C. Noyes, 2b; Lineman, 3b; PIdcock, ss; Garrick, If; R. Noyes, cf ; Blystone, If. TOMORROW'S SCHEDULE. Fast Games Assured The scheduled League Games For Sunday. Some of the fastest games in the history of the league will probably be played to morrow as the teams that go togehter are in fine shape and the schedule Is excellent. La Grande will go to Huntington and meet the fast team at that place. Union plays Cove at Cove and Baker City will go to Elgin. Words to Freete the Soil. "Your son has Consumption. His case Is hopeless." These apr-allirg words were spoken to Geo. E. Elevens, a leading merchant of SprintnM, N. C. by two expert doctors one a lung specialist. Then was shown the won derful power of Dr. Klna's New Dis covery. "After three weeks use," writes Mr. Blevens, "he was as well as ever.
