IF IN NEED OF ANYTII ING IN HOUSE FURNISH INGS CALL Henry & Can House Furnishers Two boxes of rattle snakes from a Texas snake farm consigned to Frank Adams, who has a small show in Wal lowa county at present, attracted con siderable attention at the express of fice this morning. The two boxes weighed 70 pounds and the express charges were $17.10. The snakes could not be considered very valuibte however, as the instructions read, in case the consignee did not call for them not to return, but notify the shipper. M AGAIN LEAVES MAKY That time and the Joseph train waits for no man, or woman either, Is a self-evident fact. Again today, pas sengers were left In the waiting room and on the platform while the train glided out of the yards and steamed Josephward. There. Is something wrong somewhere, and a simple sign hung on" the walls to the effect that the Joseph train does not leave from the mainline but takes its departure from the sidetrack, would alleviate all these many inconveniences. One lady who had purchased her ticket and checked her baggage is still in La Grande while her suit case is elsewhere. This happens to frequent ly, and the victims are usually those who are not acquainted with the hab its of the branch line train. Furniture For Sale.
