The game was the most ""classy" ball that has been played oa the local diamond this nea son. In the elgth inning Smith of Cove cut first and Umpire Wright cal led him 'out. Cove then refused to finish the game saying that the um pire did mot see the play, and Wrlfiht declared the game forfeited to Union Cove men then changed their mind and were allowed by the umpire to play the game o-it.
