Is the cognomen appended to the Kaffee Klatch party last evening at the home ! or vr. and Mrs. N. Molitor on Fourth street In honor of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Berry, who leave tonight for an indefi nite stay In Portland. The affair was planned and wrought out by all mem bers of the Kaffee Klatch and the honor for the signal success that marked the event, is traceable to each of the club. Thirty two guests at tended and during the evening prizes were won by E. E. Bragg, and Mrs. F. E. Moore. The house decoratinnn consumated with enviable skill and the effects brought out with a liberal supply of apple blossoms, and cut flowers, were pleasing to the artistic eye, indeed. Light refreshments were served before the guests reluctantly bade their erstwhile fellow club mem bers good night, for unless present plans are altered In the future, Mr. and Mrs. Berry will no longer be ac tive members of the club. Mrs. J. M. Berry was utviu'uvi ot iuo uuL when It was first organized and has been a potent factor in its Oevelop ment and social attainments. As a slight token of their esteem for the departing members, the club members presented Mrs. Berry with an exqui sitely beautiful bouquet of carnations. MIbs Margaret Newlin will, entertain the Kaffee Klatch next Friday after noon. ' ... (By one of the guests). The reception given in honor of Mrs. J. M. Berry by Mrs. O. E. Silver thorn and Mrs. A. L. Richardson at the home of the former waa a decjdely successful affair. Rarely such skill is shown in this city as that used in the decorations and the arrangments of . every detail. In all the rooms were green vines and white blossoms, making the whole scene a veritable woodland bower. After having been waited upon at the door by two little maids, Alice Hill and Ethel Wright, the guests were met by Mrs J. T. Richardson, who ushered them to Mrs. Silverthorn first In the receiving line. Mrs. Berry in a beaut if ul gown of mulberry satin greeted all her friends In her genial manner. Mrs. Richard son stood at Mrs. Berry's right Vith Mrs. D. M. Clark and Mrs. Hamilton next. " Others who assisted in receiv ing were, Mrs. Ivanhoe, Mrs. Scrag ging and Mrs. Wright. Mrs. Woodard Berry and Mrs. Upton served fruit punch in the reception hall, assisted by the Misses Jeanett Smith and Zora Lewis. Mrs. Vurpillat ushered the guests Into the dining room, beautiful in green and white, lighted by many candles, where they were waited upon by Mrs. Stella Ingle and Mrs. A. T. Hill, assisted by the Misses Marjorie Silverthorn, Marjorie McCall, Lilian Baker and Mae Xeill. During the iatter part of the afternoon Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Brenholts served at the table with the same young ladles to assist. As one entered this home of beauty and listened to the soft strains of music mingled with the speech and laughter, lingering long, as all were glad to be with Mrs. Ber ry, whom we all love and esteem and is indeed "Auntie" to all who know her, one was touched by the act of love that had prompted the hostesses to arrange such an afternoon that the many friends of Mrs. Berry could bid her, "God be with you, until we meet again."
