The preamble of the association's con stitution is published herewith and throws cotisiderbale light on the niat ter: "Speculators and those engaged In the distribution of farm products have organized and operate to the great detriment of the fanning class. "To enable farmers to meet theso conditions and protect their interests, we have organized the Farmers' Edu cational and Co-operative Union of America, and declare tho following purposes: "To establish jubilee. "To secure equity. "To apply the Golden Rule, "To discourage the credit and mort gage system. "To assist our members in buying and selling. "To educate the agricultural class In scientific farming. "To teach farmers the classification of crops, domestic economy, and the process of marketing. 'To systematize methods of produc tion and distribution. "To eliminate gambling In farm pro ducts by Board or Trade, Cotton Ex changes and other speculators. "To bring fanning' up to the stand ard of other industries and business enterprises. "To secure and maintain profitable and uniform prices for grain, cotton, livestock and other products of Hie farm.
