Pierce at the irrigation meeting held in La Grande on March 20, that one of the land owners in the reser voir site district had refused to con eider any offer for his land less than $138 per acre. As I am the only one that dirt not flfeo on tirino tv!!i the company two years ago, I suppose I am the party referred to. But I have never asked any company or any per son $1S8 per acre for any land or even one half that much and I have never asked the company any more than I would ask of a private party or any more than I have been offered by a private party.
