Ashland and Monmouth. An ef fort is being made to amend the Smith bill for one school, to be located regents to locate one school, and abolish two. This is considered in the interest of Monmouth. It is charged that the Ashland and Weston schools will be traded off for the Crater fjike road bill and the eastern Oregon asy lum bill.
