Rowe of South La Grande, was an Observer-visitor this afternoon. Mr. Rowe Is 75 years of age, hale and hearty, and has every appearance of a man not over 50. He says he has never been so 111 as to require the services of a physician since he can remember. Mr. Rowe will remain the rest of the winter with his son. He says he Is most favorably Impressed with the Grande Ronde valley and says he would not mind owning a quarter section. This is his first trip to the extreme west and says he has seen enough to make him have marked re spect for things western.
