The case that Is occupying the cir cuit court's attention today s that of the State of Oregon against James Plover, who is Jointly charged with George Howell, with breaking into a box car at Huntington and stealing merchandise, says the Baker Herald. Prosecuting Attorney W. !S. Levens represents the state, and is assisted by C. A. Johns, railroad attorney, with H. E. Courtney defending those charged with the crime. There have been few cases that have brought forth as large exhibits in the way of testimony, for several boxesof underwear and shoes that are alleged to have been stolen by the two men. Among the merchandise are several suits of fine silk underwear, high grade shoes and numerous other arti cles.
