Mr. An derson Is a firm believer in the irri gation project and states that he firm ly believes that once this valley se cures the proper irrigation facilities it will be able to sustain a population of fully 75,000. He has had experi ence wilh agriculture under irrigation and knows whereof he speaks. Un reports the little town of Imbler u prospering, but says tnat If there was a good-sized canal running along the ftandrldge Imbler would surely become a close rival to La Grande.
