Phone Main 10; Oregon Boys Slake Riff Hit. As expected, tho University of Ore gon Glee and Mandolin clubs made good last night at tho Grand, and af forded a very pleasant evening's en tertainment, says the Salem States man. The boys sang better, had bet ter songs, and better arrangement of program than last year. Every num- voices blended in a harmonious man ner. The mandolins were well han dled, and the stunt men captured the audience. "Ivory Ticklers," by Messrs. Ogden and Gelsler. made a hit. Mr. Victor Volght took the house with his clever dialect stories, both French and Ital ian. The "Jolly Jail-birds" were de cidedly original and refreshing, es pecially In their ballet dance. The "Jall-blrds were Messrs. Cooper, Nel sin. Wood and Burke. "Is he in?" a dramatic sketch In one screame, was very cleverly done by Messrs. Volght and Burke. They Introduced an original song. "The Hot Tamale Man," which was well receiv ed. The evening closed with an excel lent song. "Days at Oregon." This was encored and responded to with an other Oregon song, followed by the "varsity yell. people, tho Mohammedans. The Scenic theater had the best house of the week last evening, for the reason that It had a good show and many would not miss the opportunity of seeing It before the complete change tonight. This evening Lou Dunbar will be seen as a German comedian in new things. Atkinson brothers will also have something new to finish the week with and this change takes place tonight. Early this morn ing, while working about her kitchen she entangled her foot in the linoleum and fell heavily.
