HUNT, La Grande JtEMAKKABLE ESCAPE. , Train No. 6 I Us Unheard of Karaite From Wreck Early This horning. Remarkable in the extreme was the manner In which freight train No. 56 escaped a serious wreck ' early this Morning when Just outside of the yard ' limits. Presumably at the steel bridge one wheel of a box car truck spilt a trifle to one side, of the diameter line. Instantaneously the brake bonm ots knocked sldewlse and the point of the brake shoe burled Itself In the face of the wheel preventing further turning. Had the split wheel revolved a half i revolution the train would have been ditched. Remarkably, too, none of the crew noticed the mishap, and for the rest of the distance to the yards, the wheel skidded along the rails. Railroad men who have seen the break affirm that it is one of the big gest pieces of luck that has befallen n O. R. & N. train for a long time. eteeeeeC LAUNDRY ONE ABOVE ZERO.
