Mr. and Mrs. Homer Denny have returned from their visit to points in V Missouri. They have been gone for a month, and will now locate In this ' city. Andrew Nelson, who was Injured while working for the Grande Ronde Lumber company a few days ago, Is still In a critical condition at the v Grande Ronde hospital. His condition Is but little changed. Carrol of Union, was In the city this morning en route to Elgin, I where he will visit his daughter, Mrs. R. Lloyd. Mr. Carrol was 90 years old on the 14th, Inst, but notwith standing Is as spry, as a man of 60. His remarkable activity at his ad vanced age, Is the cause of comment by all who see him. McCoy, with others, attacked Mrs. Gettrup and It Is said, she is suffering considerable from Injuries received by the assault. The case against McCoy is not so clear as It might be and though he has been bound over to the circuit court, there may yet be a flaw in the proceedings which will let McCoy out of what Is really a serious predicament.
