Aster day In La Grande is now con sidered one of the events of the yea.r. and next year, If the increase Is as marked as this in the number of ex hibitors, a much larger room will have to be secured. Grandma Walsinger had a special class of her own, and was warded a prize. She had a most artistic and beautiful collection, which was ad mired very much by all. COAL IS LOW. O. It. & X. Bins Have Enough Left for About Two Weeks. With coal enough to last them about two weeks, demands coming for aid from Meacham, and no signs of relief, the O. R. & N. Is uncertain whether or not a coal famine Is about to ensue here. In the event that coal does run low, other portions of the state where larger emergency supplies were stored, will be called upon to feed the score of mountain locomotives in La Grande.
