ASTER SHOW
guard mini,
Scenlo's Change.
"Power of Labor " a political film
thai was produced for a Labor dav
celebration, is ' the drawing card at
me huic which, will be seen for the
first time tonight. The
changed today, though the houso a(
m this issue does not show It. Ar
oversight Is to blame. . The main part
of tho new program is the film which
pictures the struggle goinar on between
labor and capital. There is a drama
tic touch to it. ' ' !
The scene introduces two burelar
who have Just made a successful haul
At their den they get Into a auarrel
over their ill-gotten wealth. A Derlod
of 14 years elapses and all in the of
fice of tho great Harmagee mills.' trt
satisfy the proprietor's desire for gam
bllng, reduces the wages of the work-
Ingmen, that he may use what he saves
by the reduction to use In his gam
bling. Once again the burglars are
face to face, man and man. , A Jagged
scar extending from the neck half way
to the man's waist. The sight taker
his mind back to a cave in the moun
tainside. He lives over the brief strug
gle and he realizes the enormity of his
crime against this man, and he pleads
for mercy.
' The Pastime.
; The Pastime remains in the center
of location and attraction for a pleas
ant evening's entertainment. The
film, "A.Paris Fire Brigade," Is a
wonder, showing how the firemen
drill on the other side of the waters!
If American departments were as good.
fires would be put out before they
started. "The Woman's WIC' re
ceived the loudest applause last night
and taking It for granted from that, It
Is the Btar feature of the show. The
film, "A Romance of a, War Vet," and
the "Making of a Man's Dream," are
full of wit. As Mr. Germack was ta
ken very ill last evening, the local
stereoptlcon views will be presented
at a later date, as there will be a
lecture with the pictures that will be
interesting.
A Tiny Actor.
Miss Vivian Baker, a tiny girl es
pecially gifted as a singer and dancer,
made a success of her appearance si
the Scenic last night, and she will ap
pear again tonight In a pantomime
song combination, rendering "You'll
Be Sorry; Just Too Late." She does
it nicely. Her drum step without mu
sic last evening was excellent for so
small an actor.
- Sherwood's Banner Attraction.'
"A Lion's Bride," presented at the
Sherwood Electric is truthfully splen
oiu, ana tne (prediction made last
night that the film would take well,
has proven true. The story depicted
by pictures Is touching and brings the
spectator oacK to tne middle ages
when blood was freely spilled In sim
itar instances. Laugh-producing pic
tures and catchy songs go to make up
a strong program at the old reliable
stand.
