There are some little girls of this town who had a good time yesterday, and don't you forget it. Their good time began Jong before they went to, bed Thursday night, for, you know, half our good times and our bad ones como from anticipation. The little girls who' yesterday was par ticularly enjoyable were, first of all (for wasn't she the' ope' moat con cerned?) little Ruth Ackles, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Nerl Ackles. Ruth lives on a farm, and she counts It an especial pleasure to visit grand ma, Mrs. George 'Ackles, . In town. Well, Ruth was a guest at grandma's this week, and yesterday several of .her most intimate friends were Invited to come and spend the afternoon with her, from half , past three to five. They came, all of them. There were Lily Suydam, Beulah Ellsworth, Dora Thorne, Lena Gibson, Mamie and Mad eline Secrlst, Stella Crablll, Furn and Lela Sampson. And didn't they have a perfectly splendid timet" At five o'clock they were served with a three course luncheon; at S:30 they were taken for a drive around the city, and best of all, before returning home, Mrs. Ackles took them In a body, (a happy, wriggling, giggling little body) to Mr. Rltter's gallery, and they had their pictures, or rather their pic ture, taken. And each little girl Is to have one, and Ruth's grandma Is to have one. Don't-you think she de serves It, girls T , And somebody else Is to have one but we shan't tell. PREPARING FOR HARVEST.
