Congressman W. R. Ellis left this morning for his home in Pendleton. The Commercial club was preparing to give him a reception this after noon, it beli-.g understood that he wai not to return until this evening. Con gressman Ellis has a warm spot in the hearts of the hearts of the people of La Grande, and the club Intended to tender him ihelr appreciation for the fine oration he gave us on the Fourth and his general good will toward La Grande.
