Mr. Crawford did say, however that he will give his decision next Monday when circuit court recon venes. The mowing machines are singing the tunes of fine crops In our sec tion this week. Those of the Ladd Canyon schoo! who have received diplomas by pass ing the recent eighth grade examina tions, are: Alta Banton, Lulu Counsell. Kate Braden, Mary Banton and Mabe! Counsell. Miss Kate Braden and Miss Jennie Sherwood took the train Friday eve ning for Perry, for a week's visit with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Braden came home from Perry after visiting there Sunday. The Wilcox Lumber company again has the sawmill running for the sum mer. I Frank Counsell and John Graham are at present building a derrick which they will use In the harvest fields this summer. Joseph Llnebarger Is again making trips from Hot Lake to his beautiful park.' with guests from the lake. Jerry Conaway, who had the nils fortune to break his leg last Decern ber, was able to leave the La Orande hospital and return home yesterday. Ills friends all know that he ha borne a great deal of suffering and hop that It Is at an end. Mrs. Lucy Qraham and children drove to North Powder one day last week and spent the day with relatives. Mr. Murdock was fined 110 by Recorder Cox this morning, but was at the time unable to pay. Because he fell asleep as soon as ha was shown his quarters, Mr. Cox had to call the second gentleman John Doe. He says he Is from Sliver City, Idaho, and has a partner In town jtlth 110 on his person. Mr. Doe wnsfvery anxious to have the partner locked up with him. He had inclinations to be real naughty.
