that he will give his decision next

The members of the local grange
atid their families nnd friends met iit
Grange hill early yesterday and celu
brated "Flora Day" In hi.nor of Flora,
the patroness of flowers. A number
of the young people have Just return--J
from school, and seized the occasion
for a general reunion.. Fun and frolic
were In order during the entire day,
and at noon a regular plcnlo lunch of
sandwiches, pickles, cake, coffee and
Ice cream was served. No fatalities
resulting have yet been recorded, although-

ber, was able to leave the La Orande
hospital and return home yesterday.

borne a great deal of suffering and

Mrs. Lucy Qraham and children
drove to North Powder one day last
week and spent the day with relatives.
The Ladd Canyon baseball team
went to North Powder last Sunday
with the expectation of being beaten,

had attached to his name yesterday
the title of D. D. drunk and disor
derly. Mr. Murdock was fined 110 by
Recorder Cox this morning, but was at
the time unable to pay.
Because he fell asleep as soon as ha
was shown his quarters, Mr. Cox had
to call the second gentleman John
Doe. He says he Is from Sliver City,
Idaho, and has a partner In town jtlth
110 on his person. Mr. Doe wnsfvery
anxious to have the partner locked up
with him. He had inclinations to be
real naughty. In the Lulrich Lottos
saloon he thought he would tear
things up a bit, but few have done
such a. thing In that establishment. At ,
one time he defied all the police in
the city, but his defiance took flight
when Chief of Police Walden ap
proached him.
