Huff, an aged but enthusiastic fisherman of this city, caught a Dolly Varden trout In the Wallowa river last Sunday that was one of the fin est specimens of the finny tribe ever exhibited In Elgin. The speckled beau ty measured tl Inches In length ' and weighed eight pounds.' Mr. Huff suc ceeded In landing the fish with an' or dinary hook and line and It was un doubtedly the best catch ever made in this section. The trout was a beaut and was the recipient of admlrtng and enviable looks from many. The sight of It gave H. H. Weatherspoon, Ar thur Halgarth and the editor of the Recorder an itching from which they will not recover for several days.
