Plans for the great demonstration and review at San Francisco are now nearlng completion. Forty-five American fighting ships will occupy San Francisco Bay. The secretary of the navy, aboard' the Tankton as his flagship, will review the fleet, which will Include the It battleships of Admiral Evans' fleet, the West Virginia, th Nevada, the U-50-ten cruisers Tennessee. Wash ington, South Dakota, California, SATURDAY The La Grande high school athletics will ramify to baseball this season. The first game will be played at Union next Saturday, unless present plans fall through. The Union nine has been In the game all season. In fact that school Is stronger in baseball than on the track, and the vice versa 3 perhaps true, of La Cr?v.fl.a. iny event, the game will be playcl at Tnlon next Saturday and local fol lowers of the game hope to see the La Grande boys victorious.
