The Sorenson Logging company, Ivenson, Ore., recently sold a raft of 1 logs, scaling 222,500 feet, or 4168 i'eet to the log. The logs were deliv ered to the Flnke Cooperage plant, Brookfleld, Wash. Inman-Poulsen Lumber company Alll shortly commence the erection of a new, modern planing mill. The di mensions will be 70x200 feet. N. company $100 for violation of the safety appliance act At the local depot recently an In spector for the government discovered a car with a defective brake on one of the company's trains. He reported the case to United States Attorney Bristol, who filed a complaint In the federal court. It was contended by the railroad company that the disabled car was court at Portland, yesterday fined the night from a connecting line and with out a knowledge of Its conditions.
